George William Moore was the son of Samuel Henry Moore and brother of Joel Marvin Moore. He was born in 1894 in Young County, Texas. He served as a soldier during World War I as a Quarter Master in Witchita, Texas. His son, George William Moore, Jr. served in World War II as a B-24 navigator.
